Our practice uses Dysis Imaging to enhance our colposcopy procedures. DYSIS is an advanced cervical imaging system that is a clinically proven advancement in colposcopy that standardizes and objectively measures the whitening process (called acetowhitening) during the standard visual colposcopy exam. It then displays the results of this scan in the form of the color-coded DYSISmap, which is like a weather map. Clinical studies have shown that when DYSISmap is used in addition to a visual colposcopy exam, detection of pre-cancerous areas can increase by 31-60%.

Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy is a way to look inside the uterus using a thin, telescope-like device that is inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix. This may allow the doctor to diagnose and treat a uterine problem.
Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy is a way to look directly into the abdomen and at the reproductive organs. A laparoscope is a small telescope that is inserted into the abdomen through a tiny incision. It can be used if you have problems with infertility, and to check for ectopic pregnancy, the causes of pelvic pain, and masses.
Minimally Invasive Hysterectomy
Laporoscopic supracervical hysterectomy is a minimally invasive procedure designed to reduce pain. It can be done on an outpatient basis and leaves only small scars. With this procedure, the uterus is removed but the cervix is left in place. The ovaries and fallopian tubes may or may not be removed.
Human Papilloma Virus Vaccine
This new vaccine protects against the four types of HPV that cause the most cases of cervical cancer and genital warts. The vaccine is recommended for girls aged 11-12 years. However, it can be given to girls as young as 9 and young women aged 13-26 who have either not yet received the vaccine or have not completed all doses. The vaccine has been well-studied and appears to be safe and effective.
